Meteorological Stations

Meteorological observatories at Tshabong, Letlhakane, Maun and Sir Seretse Khama Airport (SSKA) have the technology to observe key meteorological parameters in the atomosphere up to height of about 20 km. The technology at remaining synoptic stations is sufficient to observe meteorological parameters only at the surface. Both Climatological and Agro-meteorological stations deal with the long-term aspect of weather, for example, 10-day summaries, monthly and seasonal averages. Rainfall stations deal with the collection of rainfall data.
